SPONSOR THE UNIT
Berkshire Scouts is looking for generous donations from individuals, trusts and companies to support its unit members with their fundraising, and to support the Unit itself with its own additional training and programme activities during the run up to its participation at the World Scout Jamboree.
There are a number of ways you can support the Jamboree Unit and its members:
- With a financial donation paid directly to the Jamboree Unit to support the whole unit's lead-up programme across the county. This option is ideal if your business operates nationally or county-wide.
- With a financial donation paid indirectly to the Jamboree Unit via your local contact for a group of individual young people in a particular locality whom are collectively fundraising to support their efforts to raise their £1200 contribution. This option is suited to businesses operating in a town or region within Berkshire who want to support Scouting in their particular area.
- With a donation of goods or services to one or more Jamboree Unit members to support their efforts to raise £1200 - such items being offered as auction items of raffle prizes. This option is suited to any business that cannot offer money but has a valuable product or service that can be reused.
JAMBOREE FRIENDS
Berkshire Scouts is pleased to promote its "Jamboree Friends" scheme associating Berkshire's businesses, Scouting supporters and extended families with Berkshire Scouts Jamboree Unit. You can now join Jamboree Friends for as little as £15 (€25). Donations of more than £100 (€170) will be presented with a badge and certificate during 2007 to recognise their donation. Companies or businesses making large donations may ask for a record of the company name and a link to be made on the website.
Gift Aid
Donations made directly to the Unit may be made under the Gift Aid scheme. If you do require a receipt on any donations, please let us know. Berkshire Scouts is a registered charity, number 1015269
