In 2007, the 21st World Scout World Scout Jamboree came
home to the United Kingdom for the first time in 50 years. Coinciding with Scouting's Centenary, it was held in
Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex, from 27 July to 8 August 2007 and was the most fantastic and biggest celebration and festival of Scouting ever! Under the slogan "One World, One Promise" some 40,000 young people from 216 countries across the world enjoyed international
friendship and peace coupled with a fantastic programme of activities. Berkshire was represented at the World
Scout Jamboree by two Units of young men and women drawn from across Berkshire. Follow their adventures here on this website.
