Over the weekend of 26-27 November a number of Leaders met together at Earleywood for the Leader selection for the 2007 Jamboree Units. All the leaders attending the weekend were of such an excellent calibre it was a very difficult job to select the team. It was a very successful weekend, and everyone attending had a great time. Congratulations to all the Leaders selected and thank you for taking on this exciting role.

The first phase of the Berkshire Scouts Jamboree website is launched. Supporting the Units with the process of applications and member selection, the site is officially launched.

The site contains downloadable application forms, fee payment details plus location and dates for the roadshows.

The school term dates for academic year 2006/07 are now available for all 6 local education authorities in Berkshire. Unit members may need to make a formal request for leave from their secondary school to join in the pre-Jamboree experience. More...

The first of the Jamboree Unit's series of six Roadshow events took place in Thatcham on Monday evening. Covering the western area of the county, about 30 young people attended from both the area's Scout Districts. Visiting the Roadshow were Sue Clarkson, ACC(I) and Agent 2:007 plus Pete Kearley, District Commissioner of Taceham Hundred.

Berkshire Scouts received several application forms from Scouts and Explorer Scouts on the evening to join the unit plus a show of hands showed good intentions from many of the visitors. Photographs to follow...

Following a series of 6 roadshows around the county, the seventh roadshow was held to coincide with the Scout sections County Cooking Competition. Four of the unit's leaders were selected to Judge the event too.
