Berkshire Scouts Jamboree Units
Berkshire Scouts have formed two full Jamboree Units, nicknamed Blue Troop and Purple Troop.
Each Unit has a mix of 36 young people from all parts of Berkshire plus 4 adult leaders.
Each Unit is subdivided into 4 Patrols of 9 members, with one member appointed as the Patrol Leader.
The Units have been undergoing a joint training programme including a variety of camps, first aid courses and workshops. They have also been running a joint fundraising programme, raising money to support the two Units at the Jamboree and a post-Jamboree expedition.
To guide the 72 young men and women into the Jamboree experience is a team of 8 Leaders selected from
all parts of the county. Each of them will have different roles to play, however by the end of the
Jamboree you'll know them very well.
